AUGUSTIN GROZ

ACTOR

Augustin Groz, who has Austrian-French roots, studied acting at the Mozarteum and then went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree from The New School in New York. In 2023, he received the Max Ophüls Preis for Best Young Actor in Özgür Anil's feature film “Wer wir einmal sein wollten” (Who We Once Wanted to Be). Augustin Groz gained his first stage experience at the Vienna Children's Theatre. This was followed in 2016 by engagements at Theater an der Wien for the 504-hour installtion “Cellar Door” and “Die Leiden des jungen Faust.” This was followed in 2019/20 by "Neverland" at the Thalia Theater Hamburg.He won two awards for Best Supporting Actor for the Israeli short film “The Last Nazi Hunter,” by Matan Galin & Yuval Berger (Steve Tisch School of Film & Television, Tel Aviv).

Augustin is currently nominated for the Nestroy Prize 2025 in the category Best Young Actor.
