CINEMATOGRAPHER
Claire Jahn, born in Munich, was shooting her own film projects with friends while still at school. She studied cinematography at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
During her studies, she was already able to prove herself in various short films and gained valuable experience in Germany and abroad through her additional work as 1st AC in over 50 commercials, cinema and television projects.
For her, the best cinematography is that which blurs the boundaries between story and camera. Choosing the right technique from the wealth of cinematic possibilities is always a welcome challenge for Jahn.
In 2020, she won the German Camera Award for the short film "Die Schützin". In 2021, Jahn shot the eight-part series "Oh Hell", which won Best Comedy at the German Film Awards 2022 and was nominated for a Romy for Best Cinematography 2023.
In 2023, she shot the eight-part comedy series "Never Ever" for Amazon Prime Video, which was produced by btf. Currently she is bringing the second season of "Die Toten von Marnow" to life.
