MICHAEL SCHREITEL

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Michael Schreitel is an award-winning cinematographer. He studied at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Schreitel received the German Camera Award for the first episode of the series “Unschuldig,” and “The Sinking of Laconia” was nominated in 2012 for the German Television Award for Best Multi-part series and at the British Academy Film Awards for Best Drama Serial.

Other award-winning multi-part series followed, including the highly acclaimed “Kudamm 56,” “Kudamm 59,” and “Kudamm 63.” In 2019, Schreitel shot the successful crime series “Das Geheimnis des Totenwaldes.” One of his latest project, the first season of the six-part series “Sisi,” was broadcasted in winter 2021. In 2022, he filmed three episodes of the second season of “Sisi.”
