CINEMATOGRAPHER
Patrick is a cinematographer working across feature films, television and streaming productions.
He works internationally and is experienced with a wide range of production environments – from large-scale feature films to high-pressure episodic formats. His work spans both dark thrillers and light-hearted comedies. Regardless of genre or tone, the screenplay is always the foundation of his visual approach.
He focuses on clear visual storytelling, efficient on-set workflows and a cohesive visual language that carries through the entire project. He considers technology a tool to reliably achieve pace, precision and atmosphere.
Over the past years, he has worked on about 200 productions, including „The Pianist“ and „The Ghost Writer“ (Roman Polanski), „The Reader“ (Stephen Daldry), „Who Am I – No System Is Safe“ and „Dark“ (Baran bo Odar), „Bad Banks“ (Christian Schwochow), as well as most recently „Schule der magischen Tiere 4“ and „Sarah Kohr – Schmutzarbeit.”
Working for many years as a camera operator and Steadicam operator continues to shape his work today: precise, physically driven and closely connected to the performance.
Being fluent in German and English, with working knowledge of French, Portuguese and Spanish, he has shot internationally, including in Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Romania, Malta, Austria and Germany.
He is a founding member of the non-profit organization Kinderhilfe Fortaleza e.V..

DIE SCHULE DER MAGISCHEN TIERE 4
COMING UP
Patrick’s latest project, “Die Schule der magischen Tiere 4”, was released on September 25, 2025. Since then, almost 3 million viewers have seen the film in theaters. Patrick is currently working on another film in the „Sarah Kohr“ series, with the working title „Schmutzarbeit“. This marks his third collaboration with Mike Marzuk and the production company die film.
