LENA MAY GRAF

DIRECTOR/WRITER

Lena May Graf was born in Munich in 1987 and grew up in Massachusetts. She studied politics and journalism in Paris and at NYU in New York.

She moved to Berlin in 2011 and began working in various areas of the German and international film industry. Including costume and production design, the AD department, and casting assistance for Simone Bär. She has been working as a screenwriter since 2015 and she directed her first short film “Die Kommode” in 2021.

Recently Charly Hübner directed her adaptation of the novel „Sophia, der Tod und ich“ by Thees Uhlmann and her own directorial debut alongside Finn Christoph Stroeks is the romantic comedy “Trauzeugen,” which premiered in cinemas in September 2023.

Lena May Graf is represented by Carole Sonderegger.
