Erol Yesilkaya is a German-Turkish award-winning screenwriter, creator, showrunner, and producer. He studied modern German literature and media studies. His works “Tatort- Die Wahrheit,” “Tatort – Es lebe der Tod,” and “Tatort – Das Nest” were nominated for the German TV Crime Award, among others, and his “Tatort – Meta” received the prestigious Grimme Award.
He has also written scripts for popular drama and television series such as “Dogs of Berlin,” “Sløborn,” “Souls,”and “Hausen.” In 2021, the Amazon Original series “Der Greif,” created and written by Yesilkaya and based on the fantasy bestseller, was filmed with Yesilkaya and Sebastian Marka showrunning.

Der Greif
Erol Yesilkaya’s latest work as a creator, writer and showrunner is the series “Der Greif,” based on Wolfgang Hohlbein’s fantasy bestseller. The six-part series, directed by Sebastian Marka and photographed by Willy Dettmeyer, produced by W&B Television in association with DogHouse Film, will be available on Prime Video beginning May 26, 2023.
