CHRIS KRAUS

Chris Kraus is an award-winning director, screenwriter and novelist. He studied at the German Film and Television Academy (dffb). His feature debut "Scherbentanz" secured his status in a leading new generation of filmmakers.

His second feature film “Vier Minuten" starring Hannah Herzsprung and Monica Bleibtreu was a big success at the box office and won more than 60 international film awards worldwide, including the Grand Prix of the International Film Festival Shanghai, the Bavarian Film Prize 2007 in four categories and the German Film Award for best feature film in 2007.

The historical drama „ Poll“ was awarded in three categories at the Bavarian Film Prize 2010 and in four categories at the German Film Award 2010, among others. The tragic comedy „Die Blumen von gestern“ attracted a lot of attention from the audience and critics and won numerous awards in 2016.
