Franziska Margarete Hoenisch is a director and writer.
She studied Cultural Studies at the University of Hildesheim and Photography at the Athens School of Fine Arts before turning to directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and La Fémis in Paris.
With her first feature ”Club Europa,“ Hoenisch gained international recognition. It was shown at prestigious festivals and received multiple awards.
Franziska Margarete Hoenisch's work includes episodes of flagship German crime series, ”Tatort,“and the acclaimed comedy series ”Doppelhaushälfte,“ among others.
In addition to her work in television, she is developing her own projects. Hoenisch and her co-writer Stefanie Ren were nominated at the renowned Thomas Strittmatter Screenplay Award 2023 for their upcoming horror feature "Babette".
She is currently in post-production for the first season of the high-end series ”Superior“ for Amazon MGM Studios.

Franziska Margarete Hoenisch’s latest project the series “Superior” for Amazon MGM Studios is currently in post-production and is set to set to be released soon.
